Inquiry-Based Coaching™
From Inquiry to New Possibilities
Inquiry-Based Coaching™ (IBC™) is a structured, experiential process that invites us to explore the beliefs and assumptions shaping our experience of ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us.
We all develop familiar ways of understanding our lives. Some of these beliefs may become repetitive or stressful, limiting what we imagine is possible and how we respond to the challenges we encounter.
IBC is not about replacing difficult thoughts with positive ones, denying painful realities, or finding ways to simply feel better about challenging circumstances. Through a guided process of inquiry, we develop a different relationship to familiar beliefs and assumptions, allowing new perspectives and possibilities to emerge.
These discoveries can extend well beyond our internal experience. They may lead to new choices, different ways of engaging in relationships, and greater participation in our communities and the larger systems that shape our lives.
Whether navigating personal challenges or responding to broader social concerns, inquiry can open unexpected possibilities for connection, creativity, and meaningful action—without prescribing what those actions should be.
My Background and Approach
My interest in Inquiry-Based Coaching grows out of nearly three decades of work as a psychotherapist, where curiosity, careful listening, and an openness to questioning familiar assumptions have always been central to my approach.
I completed a three-year training and certification program in Inquiry-Based Coaching, an experiential method that complements my longstanding interest in how we develop beliefs about ourselves and the world around us.
In my coaching work, I offer a collaborative space for exploring these beliefs without judgment or pressure to arrive at a particular conclusion. The process can create room for greater flexibility, self-understanding, and new possibilities for responding to personal and interpersonal challenges.
